We have started a “Fill the Tables” three event summer challenge.

The first event was for our Backpack and Sharing and Caring ministries. During the months of June and July, there was a friendly competition between the two ministries to see which one can collect the most food.

Our second effort started in August with the focus on the 3rd Sunday of each month for these feeding ministries. This was our “Food Sunday,” where members were asked to bring desired items from the list that Sunday so that they could be gathered and blessed during worship.

Our final effort starting now is asking for a small monetary contribution to one or more of these ministries monthly. You will find envelopes in the pews and narthex for monthly giving opportunities. A $5, $10 or $20 bill goes father than you would think to provide daily bread for those in need.

In Matthew 25:35a Jesus said, “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat.”
