We have started a “Fill the Tables” three event summer challenge.

The first event is for our Backpack and Sharing and Caring ministries. During the months of June and July, this is a friendly competition between the two ministries to see which one can collect the most food. We will have a table for each ministry in the CLC starting 7 June, and desired items will be listed in the Trinity Times during June and July.

Our second effort starts in August and will be our focus the 3rd Sunday of each month on these feeding ministries. This will be our “Food Sunday.” We ask you to please bring desired items from the list that Sunday (or before) so that they may be gathered and blessed during worship.

Our final effort starting now is asking for a small monetary contribution to one or more of these ministries monthly. You will find envelopes in the pews and narthex for monthly giving opportunities. A $5, $10 or $20 bill goes father than you would think to provide daily bread for those in need.

In Matthew 25:35a Jesus said, “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat.”
