For numerous years the Women's Organization has asked the congregation to support them in donating items for the LWR kits, and the response has been amazing. Today we have the opportunity to participate in an annual God’s Work, Our Hands service project. The Evangelism Team will host brunch after our worship service, and we invite everyone to help us fill 200 goodie bags to be taken to the local cancer and kidney centers as well as where needed. This is our opportunity to help others through challenging times.

Today and the 3rd Friday of September each year we recognize United States POW/MIA Recognition Day. It is observed across the nation as a way to remember prisoners of war (POW) and those who are missing in action (MIA), as well as their families. All military installations fly the National League of Families’ POW/MIA flag, veteran rallies take place in many states, POW/MIA flags are often flown, and joint prayers are made.

Our monthly food drive for Sharing & Caring, our community food bank, is held the first Sunday of every month. Bring canned and non-perishable food products to the lobby of Christian Life Center and place them on the collection cart. There is also a need for baby formula, toothpaste, shampoo, bar soap, and laundry detergent.
