May is National Military Appreciation Month, officially recognized by Congress in 1999. The month includes several key dates pertaining to our veterans and active duty military: Military Spouse Appreciation Day on 7 May, VE Day (WWII Victory in Europe Day) on 8 May, Armed Forces Day on 15 May, and Memorial Day on 31 May.
