We are again collecting Lutheran World Relief (LWR) personal care Kits. For numerous years the Women's Organization has asked the congregation to support them in donating items for the LWR kits, and the response has been amazing. The LWR Collection Box is located in the lobby of the CLC. Click on this event to learn more and to see the list of items needed for each kit.
Join us today for Sunday worship service at 9:30am. Every Sunday we celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Sermons are also uploaded afterwards each week onto our website. The service includes hymns, Bible readings, a sermon, and a congregational prayer.
Rally Day is today following worship and fellowship. We will be having fun as we kick off another amazing Sunday School year. Classes begin 21 September. Deborah Circle meets tonight. Called “Lil Debbies,” we combine prayer and informal bible study with a primary focus on fellowship and heartfelt discussions with other women of faith. Deborah Circle meets the second Monday of each month at 6pm and is tailored for the woman who wants an evening out with Christian friends.
Today at 10am (and the third Tuesday of each month) the ladies of Dorcas Circle meet to pack food for our Backpack Food Program that provides weekend meals for needy children at Edwins Elementary School. Come join us.
The Arts and Crafts group meets today and Wednesdays at 9:30am. Come join us for fun and fellowship as we create attractive items for donations that benefit various church programs and charities. This past year we have provided gifts for individuals in nursing homes and care centers.
The HTLC Church Council meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:00pm to discuss finances, committee activities, upcoming events, and other church business. All congregation members and visitors are invited to attend. If you are interested in being a board member or team lead, please ask a pastor or one of our current board members. Nominees are accepted in the Fall for a variety of alternating 2-year positions.
