We continue the season of Epiphany, and the principal themes are the revelation of Christ to all nations, Jesus' baptism in the River Jordan, and Christ as the Light of the World. The ELCA church recognizes the season of Epiphany from January 6 until the last Sunday before Ash Wednesday, which is celebrated as the Transfiguration of our Lord. Click on this event to learn more.
Today we celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion during our 8:15am and 11:00am services. We invite all baptized Christians who believe that our Lord is truly present in His Body and Blood to join us to receive the bread and wine. Children are invited to come forward for a blessing.
Children’s Church is today and occurs in the upper building on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month at the same time as the 8:15am and 11:00am Sunday services. It is intended for kids 4 years old through 3rd grade. They learn the same lessons and Gospel used in the Sunday services, and there is inspirational music and entertaining arts and crafts activities that keep the children interested.
Backpack Food Sunday is the 3rd Sunday of each month and provides weekend meals for needy children at Edwins Elementary School. Bring individually-packed nutritious food items to the lobby of the Christian Life Center. A specific shopping list is available at the church, and monetary donations are also welcome so food items can be purchased.
Help uplift and inspire others through our music ministry. Come join us for practices on Sundays from 9:40am - 10:30am. We sing at Sunday services and special events, and volunteers do not need to be experienced singers.
