Today we celebrate Reformation Day that recognizes the actions of Martin Luther in 1517 when he nailed a treatise to the door of a church in Germany, forever changing the course of history. Among other things, Luther argued that the Bible, not the Pope, was the central means to discern God’s word. Luther also maintained that salvation was granted by faith alone, not by good deeds and the sacraments. Click on this event to learn more.
