Join us for another awesome food and game day at 2pm as we play bunko, an easy-to-learn dice game. The cost is $15 per person and includes food, drinks, dessert, and a great time of fellowship and fun. The sign-up sheet is located in the CLC. All proceeds go to the church general fund.

Backpack Food Sunday

Today is Backpack Food Sunday. It is held the 3rd Sunday of each month and provides weekend meals for needy children at Edwins Elementary School. Bring individually-packed nutritious food items to the lobby of the Christian Life Center. A specific shopping list is available at the church, and monetary donations are also welcome so food items can be purchased. Click on this event to learn more about this program.

Rummage Sale

Join us for our upcoming Rummage Sale 31 July through 1 August from 6am-4pm. We will begin accepting donations on 19 July. Please place items against the far left wall of the CLC. After 19 July, donations can be dropped off during office hours (Mon-Fri, 9am-1pm). Large items may be left in the lobby starting 27 July. Volunteers are needed for this event, and setup begins 26 July after our Sunday worship service. Contact Louan with questions or to volunteer.

The HTLC Church Council meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:00pm to discuss finances, committee activities, upcoming events, and other church business. All congregation members and visitors are invited to attend. If you are interested in being a board member or team lead, please ask a pastor or one of our current board members. Nominees are accepted in the Fall for a variety of alternating 2-year positions.

Feast of Mary Magdalene

Today is the Feast of St. Mary Magdalene. She was identified in the New Testament as a constant companion of Jesus during his ministry in Galilee and was one of his earliest followers. Mary witnessed the crucifixion and the interment of Jesus’ body in the tomb. She was also the first recorded witness of the Resurrection, as Jesus singled her out from all others to bring news of His transcendence over death to His disciples. Eve Circle meets tonight at 6pm. Eve Circle is intended for all ages and specifically designed for the working woman. We are a gathering of women of faith who gain spiritual and emotional strength through fellowship, bible study, and community service. Past study topics include “Bad Girls of the Bible.” The group meets in the Upper Building the fourth Thursday of each month.

Mary Martha Quilters

The quilters group meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 9am in the Upper Building. Mary/Martha meets for fun and fellowship as we create beautiful quilts that are donated to benefit Lutheran World Relief and other charitable organizations. No prior quilting experience is needed! Mary Martha also made numerous face masks for the congregation to use during our worship services.

Sharing and Caring Food Drive

Our monthly food drive for Sharing & Caring, our community food bank, is held the first Sunday of every month. Bring canned and non-perishable food products to the lobby of Christian Life Center and place them on the collection cart. There is also a need for baby formula, toothpaste, shampoo, bar soap, and laundry detergent.

Ruth Circle meets today and the 1st Tuesday of each month at 9:30am for fun Bible study and great fellowship. Ruth Circle is intended for the non-working woman. We use the “Together Magazine” and “Gather Magazine” provided by the Lutheran ministry for Bible study on various topics. All ladies are invited to join us as we study God’s Word and grow closer together in Christian fellowship.

It is intended to remember the men and women of our armed forces who were either wounded on the battlefield or paid the ultimate sacrifice with their lives.
