The Arts and Crafts group meets today and Wednesdays at 9:30am. Come join us for fun and fellowship as we create attractive items for donations that benefit various church programs and charities. This past year we have provided gifts for individuals in nursing homes and care centers.

Happy 4th of July, America’s Independence Day.  In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence, which proclaimed the independence of the United States from Great Britain.  After the 5-year Revolutionary War and with the signing of the Treaty of Paris with Britain, the United States formally became a free and independent nation in 1783. Our monthly food drive for Sharing & Caring, our community food bank, is held the first Sunday of every month.  Bring canned and non-perishable food products to the lobby of Christian Life Center and place them on the collection cart.  There is also a need for baby formula, toothpaste, shampoo, bar soap, and laundry detergent.

Ruth Circle meets today and the 1st Tuesday of each month at 9:30am for fun Bible study and great fellowship. Ruth Circle is intended for the non-working woman. We use the “Together Magazine” and “Gather Magazine” provided by the Lutheran ministry for Bible study on various topics. All ladies are invited to join us as we study God’s Word and grow closer together in Christian fellowship.

Mary/Martha Circle, the quilters group, meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 9am in the Upper Building for fun and fellowship as we create beautiful quilts that are donated to benefit Lutheran World Relief and other charitable organizations. Today is Backpack Food Sunday. It is held the 3rd Sunday of each month and provides weekend meals for needy children at Edwins Elementary School.  Bring individually-packed nutritious food items to the lobby of the Christian Life Center.  A specific shopping list is available at the church, and monetary donations are also welcome so food items can be purchased. Join us for our upcoming Rummage Sale 31 July through 1 August from 6am-4pm. We will begin accepting donations on 19 July. Please place items against the far left wall of the CLC. After 19 July, donations can be dropped off during office hours (Mon-Fri, 9am-1pm). Large items may be left in the lobby starting 27 July. Volunteers are needed for this event, and setup begins 26 July after our Sunday worship service. Contact Louan with questions or to volunteer.
