Pastor Steve Marko announces Holy Trinity is building a new Worship Center.
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church was organized in 1960 with the first service taking place
in its unique sanctuary, that sanctuary having been designed by a student of Frank Lloyd
Wright.
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church celebrated the ground-breaking of its new Christian Life
Center.
The congregation is now expanding its mission and ministries with a new 10,000 sqare
foot multi-purpose center. The $1.7 million dollar building will be located next to the
sanctuary, will include seating for 350 people, a platform stage, a vinyl-composite floor
tile with game lines and retractable basketball goal and footings for a volleyball net. The
Center will feature a kitchen, a glassed-in corner lobby, new offices and showers, and
dressing rooms.
Surrounding the new facility will be a 1,200 covered porch and drop-off canopy area,
with handicap ramps. The exterior will be brick and two-toned stucco finish. Three
crosses will be displayed on the upper portion of the south side of the building facing
the Gulf of Mexico.
The new Center will enable the Church to combine special worship, seminar and special
events, Christian Choir and band concerts, contemporary Chrisitan services, Christian
drama programs, and inter-church and community activities.
The Building Committee Chairman is Brad Kronsbien, co-chair is Tom Stevens. Congregational
President is Louan Rathke. |
